Solar Panel Insurance

We confirm, on behalf of the Tenant (the solar panel owner), that the solar panel system is insured and such insurance includes full third-party liability cover.

The solar panel system has been insured from the date of its installation and will be insured as per the tenant’s obligations set out in the lease agreement. The insurance is renewed annually.

Please note, the insurance policy that is in place for the system has been taken out by the tenant and for the tenant, it is not the homeowners’ policy, nor does it have any bearing or effect on the homeowners’ own insurance policies. Aviva will not be able to provide further details or discuss the policy with any homeowner (or other unauthorised third-party) due to GDPR and the obvious fact that the insurance policy is in the name of the tenant and not the homeowner.
